Hails from Cleveland, Ohio and holds an MFA in Acting from the University of South Carolina.  Additional studies: with members of the National Theatre of Great Britain at Cornell University and an internship at the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC.  Her one-woman show, Love Arm’d, Aphra Behn & Her Pen has been performed nationally and internationally including the Bedlam Theatre in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her new play Cheer from Chawton, about Jane Austen, had its American debut in New York City at the renowned Players Club, and its UK debut at the Jane Austen Festival in Bath where it was praised as the “hit of the Festival”. More on Karen at http://www.lovearmd.com
